Thought this was pretty disappointing as a whole
Some great songs though

This is the real deal flag.
Sung from the heart, modern folk classic.

It starts off very strong
And ends pretty strong
But it loses me in the middle
I do like "For One Night Only" though

I'll give you there's a slight dip in quality but not enough to detract from a wicked record
Miserable Strangers and Bluebell 4lyf

Bluebell is magic
Done by anyone else it would just come across as faux drivel.

Album makes me nostalgic for warm summer beach holidays with the family, dingy round the waist, max factor sun tan lotion smouthered all over my little white body despite the fact it's about 20 degrees, and the thing is, I've never even been on a beach holiday

This conjures up images of mooring up me little fishing boat, smoking a pipe in the local boozer before walking out to the sea wall and contemplating throwing myself into the salty brine to end it all.
You know the general thought process of every scot before they find heroin.

That documentary is awe inspiring.
All those lives lived.
We don't know we're born.

Damn, it's not about anymore :/ Largs is a serious jam, though there's a few on here that are a bit 'no' - children singing in songs is almost NEVER okay.

Had this one a few weeks ago while driving through Cairngorms national park in the highlands.
Don't feel the need to elaborate any further.

The sound of a weary solider caked in mud writing prose while in the trenches having taken the lives of many. The sound of Father coming home from the docks after putting in a 12hr shift but still taking the time to laugh and play with his 5 children. The grit of playing through an FA cup final with a broken neck, pride bursting as you hold aloft the trophy. A childhood past where the Wishing Chair was read by teacher as you sit on the freshly mowed grass of the school field under the shade of a tree knowing that when you get home you'll be having your favourite spotted dick and custard after tea. The sound of a billion lives lived and loved.
