Yeah dunno it just doesn't click for me like it seems for most people. Maybe I'm not old enough.

Did they ever need to be instrumentally exceptional in the first place?

Not really, it doesn't fit their mold. I suppose they could have made some of their riffs a little more complex, especially on later albums, but I have no qualms with their approach to making music.

You know something tells me they'll reunite within the next few years or so. I just have this feeling that they aren't done yet. Who knows.

I have the same hunch Toondude, I think maybe in 2018 or something. But I'd be totally content with their body of work if they truly left the game forever and Lowborn was their eternal swan song.

Was there any reunion of a formerly great band without the band becoming generic or even shit after reuniting? Spontaneously, I can't think of any so I don't need them to come back honestly.

Swans got better after reuniting. So did Yellowcard if you are into pop-punk.

Always planned to get into Yellowcard someday but didn't find the time for it yet. Isn't one of their first LP's considered a classic of pop-punk? They really became better?

Ocean Avenue is absolutely a pop-punk classic. The problem is that they never really capitalized on that momentum. Their post-hiatus albums are very consistent & tight, so in my opinion they are a better band now than they were before, despite catching lightning in a bottle once.

Never got into Yellowcard honestly. Idk, they never really clicked with me, just like Muse.

They're from Scranton? That's cool because I could drive to Scranton in less than 2 hours. Also, they recorded in Conshohocken, which is literally 15 minutes from where I used to live when I had an apartment in Philly. Seems like fate.

Still fucking love Atonement and Harbinger.

Its kind of a shame they disbanded after this, they were starting to get good again...

Atonement's likely one of the best songs this band has done, agreed Mongi. 'Hearing voices' really stuck out for me after a couple listens to this album as well. Reminds me of a better version of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.
