Wasn't directed solely to you. Before registering an account I've already been reading along in many comment sections and my overall impression is, that many people see a 3 as quite disappointing. Just used your comment as an occasion to communicate this matter.



As of my rating for this album, I'm not quite sure yet. Need to take some time listening to it consciously. Pretty hard to tell, since you really want it to be good - the last album after all.

Im a huge Anberlin fan and always will be.



But I believe this is their weakest album in years and this belief was consolidated for me when they didn't play one song off it at a recent tour of Australia. It sounds like B-sides of Vital to me. Dissenter is the first Anberlin song I actually might dislike, a band I always stated had no songs I dislike. Atonement is brilliant, as is Losing it all. The rest are ok, don't get me wrong, its still a good album - hey its anberlin - but its lacking. Worst cover art and sadly probably their weakest album in my opinion.

Just decided it's a solid 3.5 for me. Could change over time, but for now, while I appreciate the nice touches of experimentation here and there, some tiny bit is missing to weight it up on a level with Vital, Dark or Cities. Still a good album and absolutely nothing to be disappointed about.

that's not why they didn't play a song off of it. They wanted to play songs from the stuff that the fans knew really well and had time to grow to love

Yeah I know, its a farewell tour and hence not playing anything off it, I still think its a big call not even to play one song off it though. If fans are expected to be big fans of the new album they should plat at least something off it. Point definitely taken though.



It still in my mind reiterated its not considered one of their stronger albums, even if this belied is based on a misconception.
