Comprising Chris Farren (Fake Problems) & Jeff Rosenstock (Bomb the Music Industry!), the oddly named Antarctigo Vespucci deliver a strange little 8 track release titled 'Soulmate Stuff'. Despite their previous band's punk leanings, the duo perform rather catchy Weezer-like fuzzy power-pop here, but with a spontaneity that is equal parts diverse & confusing. It sounds like these 2 friends are having fun, but that doesn't always translate to quality listening. Some handy guest spots help & it's all very tight & concise at just 18 minutes in length, but these guys are capable of better. Recommended Tracks: Guest List Spots & I'm Giving Up on U2.

"It's that cute chick who was digging Title Fight in 2010, the one you went to a few shows with, the one you fell asleep dreaming of ever having a chance with. It's the guy who understands your love of 80's no-wave, the one you wished would finally take you to that cool little tea shop on Broadstreet. It's the person you locked eyes with three times during the show, and never got the courage to dance with. But it's those short connections, the tiny blasts of emotion and passion, that we're stuck with remembering. "
fuck this is well written and hard hitting
