It's certainly the most ambitious and varied record they've ever produced.

ATS has one good song (When they Come for Me), luckily for them that song is one of their best songs

Ya man I feel your pain. The chick I'm seeing now is a massive latter-day Beyonce fan. It's like girl I like you and all but do we really have to listen to three club remixes of Drunk in Love every day?

And yaknow what else? It's a shame that LP's B-Sides are sometimes really great songs. Like a lot better than anything they let onto albums. I don't get this band.

I'd argue that mantle goes to 20/20 Experience Part I, but I can only listen to Drunk In Love so many times brah.

honestly, as much as im not that huge of a fan of 20/20 I i understand the hype and it is definitely a very good american pop album. lots of really catchy hooks. however, i would argue that its impact on pop music is not the best thing to happen. the last thing pop music needs is to be more over-indulgent, and that album is one of the most over-indulgent things ive ever heard in my life

What'd you expect when all the tracks run for 7 minutes

because any song ever thats more than 6 minutes is over-indulgent....

not really how it works, thaumogenesis by nadja isnt overindulgent and its an hour long track

Nah, I get that. But I'd argue that Part I was nowhere near as overindulgent as Part II, which definitely needs some goddamn editing. I'm not going to complain if a few more pop artists start bringing in those neo-soul influences and analog synths 20/20 had so much of.
