I'm guessing the band was drunk when writing that song

Used to have this 5'd, but it doesn't blow me away quite as much anymore. Anyway, have a pos.

Good review. Pos'd. Don't mind my low rating, I just don't have a taste of the Stones anymore.

Well written review, although there is a major factual error: punk didn't start until the mid-to-late 1970s, so it had absolutely no effect on this Stones album.

Yeah, that start made me wonder what kind of punk-scene you were referring to aswell.

the historians salute you!

But I'm curious, what did you mean by punk then?

Psychedelia was kinda fading at the time what with the Beatles on the verge breaking up and such, and I knew that punk

was the genre following up, so I felt like talking about it, but I prob didn't read the dates correctly or something, because I

wouldn't have done so had I realized my error

i didn't know if you were referring to bands like The Velvet Underground and The Stooges. but it reads better now.

they have two absolutely perfect, wouldn't-change-a-thing rock songs in Gimme Shelter and Jumpin' Jack Flash. lots of other great songs scattered through their discography but those two are untouchable to me

Yeah I confused the birth of punk with the breakthrough of punk
