Been a while, dear LP5. A re-listen is in order for me this summer! I'm really slow with Autechre but I got more and more familiar with Confield and Draft lately. I will always be amazed at how consistent Sean and Rob are.

I think 777 was the track that took the longest to grow on me, honestly. AcroyearII was pretty immediate for me, such a hard banger.



Under BOAC is all about that insane breakdown. and I don't mean like a -core breakdown or w/e, I mean the song itself completely breaks down, and then, out of the chaos, suddenly, a new beat is born. Oh my god.

I like it a lot, but I've always preferred rae and been unable to not compare the two. even though there's no real similarity besides them being the most ambient-y tracks. plus it comes right after under boac and i usually spend its duration recovering from the brainscrambling i just received.



also i could never love a track as much as i love drane2 so there's that

i think id call this album industrial ambient

like not the genre industrial but like car factory ambient
