I just find it weird to call a 41 minute album an EP. To me it qualifies as a full length album

it doesn't really fit into their discography, so i think making it an EP makes sense

i'm enjoying this after repeated listening. it is indeed very entrancing and easy to get lost into (granted i thought it was boring as fuck the first couple times).

i still think marrow is highly unappreciated in agalloch's canon. i'm completely in the minority on that one though because i think their first two albums pale in comparison to ashes and marrow

I gave the white a listen while doing homework last night. Its atmosphere just grabbed me in the same way the mantle did. I gave it a few more listens today and it only got better

So far, I'm enjoying this way more on second listen. Even Dark Matters God.

The White is their most overlooked release. People don't talk about it a lot but it's in the same league as Ashes, if not all 3 of their first records.

couldn't agree more

For me this is a solid 4.5 i find it better than Marrow (very underrated IMO) and in pair with Ashes, the first 2 listen i was lost as fuck but now... man what a sweet album i don't get the Dark Matter Gods hate for me is one of the best, the intro sounds kinda like I See Your Face from Paradise Lost but i think the song is great, overall i think this is great i don't know if is just me but i found some Prog Rock influences here.
