Yes I did. It was the best show on the tour with the best setlist too; and I bought VIP. It was a supernova of positive energy and I'll never forget it. Everyone was touched that night, even people who I talked to who never heard of the band before were blown away.

I wish I was there just to see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (and Petit Brabancon too). I am desperate to see them live, but I am going to Japan this year though.

I wasn't there for the whole festival. I only caught the latter half of Day 2. I also ended up seeing MCR on a different date at the same venue which was a great show.
There was a lot of incredible shows the last few weeks and I couldn't see them all. I think Asunojokei and Imperial Circus Dead Decadance were playing a show together with Phinehas lol and there was also the Louderpark Festival with Carcass, Pantera, Kreator and Bleed From Within.
I did not plan my trip around these shows - they just happened to be during the dates I was there. I'd check out songkick and see what's happening when you're planning on being there.

I already specifically planned to see my favourite band as the primary reason of the trip; plus I get to see Bradio as a bonus. The main issue which I'm having at the moment is acquiring a Japanese cell number so I can register with ePlus and Pia for the Bradio show (and for future shows there).

Nice! I had no issue with buying tickets for the shows since they were festivals and had options for foreigners to buy tickets. Though, I've read about needing a japanese number for ePlus...my recommendation would be to use a proxy service like bridge.jpn.
You could also wait until you're in Japan but YMMV depending on how popular the act is. I bought the MCR tickets like a week before the show, which is basically impossible to do in the states.

Bridge Japan refuse to make accounts for people, only help in ticket printing and purchasing. I already asked, they seemed uncomfortable with the suggestions to make an account.
I don't want to wait until I am in Japan because I always try for the best seats available. For my fav band they have their fanclub with an exclusive portal so that was not an issue.

Damn, so your only option is what, actually getting a Japanese number and have them ship you a phone/sim? Rough.
Might be another proxy service that's worth their salt out there but I have not done much research myself.

Correct, a friend stated they'd help me get one within a few weeks. Japan's anti scalper rules have fucked over overseas fans. Other ones help with entering lotteries but the issue is that gigs can check the name of your ticket and expect you to present ID. If your name doesn't match the ticket you can not enter, so you need your own account.

Yeah, they definitely check ID before they give you tickets. I went through will call at Knotfest and picked up my MCR tickets at a 7/11 - got ID'd both times.
I tried going to the frontline festival, but since tix were through ePlus, I went and saw MCR instead.

Thanks, hopefully I can get an account set up. I'm thankful my fav band are the exception rather than the rule in this instance. Also correction, you only need the phone for registration/receiving one text. From then, you can switch it to another Japanese mobile so I literally only need it for registration.
