Far from perfect.

while it had been greeted with many, many delays,
I don't think 'greeted' is the word you're looking for.
Originating as front man Jerry Jones 35 page screen play

Again
These concepts are so perfectly advanced due in large part to the inclusion of a female vocal
section/choir in nearly every single track, making the over bloated lyrical concept entirely fresh
and quite frankly, worth it. Occasionally past releases would implement female vocals, but with a
full time choir backing the band the lyrical concept just makes much more sense on initial listens.
I don't understand how that makes the concepts 'perfectly advanced'. The concepts are better because
there's a choir? Second sentence basically says the same thing and I'm still left wondering how
choral vocals help make the lyrical concepts make 'much more sense'.
In all actuality there are many words that can describe the lyrical concept found on this
record; ambitious, dense, conflated maybe even teetering on pretentious.
Use a colon when you're making a list.
Album opener “Extant” seems to trod upon new ground for the new and improved Torphy
Scars
Kind of redundant.
but at many times plays second fiddle to an apparent renaissance of singing
Renaissance of singing?
Your fourth paragraph seems more like a conclusion of sorts when you say stuff like:
"While this vocal approach may admittedly take some getting used to, do not let it deter you from
delving deeply into one of the better records to be released in the past few years. There are just
too many jaw-droppingly beautiful moments on this record to be overlooked"
Also the fifth paragraph doesn't really feel separate from the fourth.
Pretty decent review overall, just offering some suggestions. I've been playing this a lot more
during this week and I've really come around to it, although I still feel Qeres is the defining
moment (those final 30-40 seconds are hauntingly beautiful)

Thanks for pointing those out man! I'm sure you're aware that some of those are personal preferences and i can see where you're coming from. (like words such as greeted and renaissance)
But i will add a sentence or two to help clarify what i meant with the choir and will fix the grammar mistakes. I do appreciate it.

Argh. This review needs some serious proof-reading.
For example, the statement you make in the summary is hardly 'downright ridiculous.' Plus, it's a weird way of starting a review.

i'm noticing several errors too. Many of them wouldn't have been caught with a simple spell check because the words themsevles weren't actually spelled incorrectly.
here are some examples from your second paragraph:
Whereas past releases saw Trophy Scars occasionally stray from the storyline of their overarching theme, often drifting FROM abstract thought to abstract thought, Holy Vacants is perfectly focused. Every song serves to advance a concept that, while seemingly a tad daft, delve tactfully into many universal topics, be it hanging on to glory years, or A belonging to a doomed relationship.
change form to from and an to a. also, apostrophes are not your friend lol. example- end of first pargraph - bands needs an apostrphe and i saw some other words missing them too. I struggled with apostrphes a lot at first simply because spellcheker doesn't usually catch those things so i can definitely relate. I would just say work on proofreading your reviews a little more since spell check isn't all that reliable. You're a great writer, so these are just tips ofc.

NBND shits all over this. That record is damn near perfect. This is really good but there are a few faults here and there. But they've always been growers, so this might grow.

Oh look Sputnik jizzing themselves over Trophy Scars again, this was unexpected.
Just kidding, I'm sure it's great.

Atink: Cheers. Since joining here I feel like my critiques/comments go largely unnoticed, so it's nice to see that some writers take these things into account.
Also: my qualms with 'renaissance' pertain to usage rather than stylistic differences. I try not to let things like certain words I wouldn't use bother me if they're used correctly, but I'm not sure how you mean 'renaissance' in this context, as it pertains to the revival of art in 14th century Europe.

I'm finding it hard pressed how one's opinion of a piece of music can be pretentious. At least in this example.
