I enjoyed One For Sorrow but this is far better. While We Sleep and The River are fantastic.

I tend to find quite a lot of Insomnium's stuff pretty generic sadly

I haven't listened to this band for years but might have a spin of this new one and the last one (which I didn't listen to either).

Need to listen a few more times. I like several tracks a whole hell of a lot, but a couple others...not so much. One of the tracks had me wanting to push the SKIP button...which rarely happens with these guys. Still, too early to tell for me, so I will reserve final judgment until I give myself a bit of a chance to get used to the tracks.

Recent albums by these guys have been pretty disappointing, but the tracks I've heard off this have been really promising, need to check out full album

This is better than One For Sorrow and Across The Dark

Yeah, I couldn't get into Across the Dark... I like a few tunes on One for Sorrow quite a bit though...

I'm not really into pop music (I'm an Opeth fan, actually)

"Also well worth noting that one of the bonus tracks "Out to the Sea" is very good and wouldn't sound at all out of place on Above the Weeping World, so check it."

Specifically Last Statement, and the syncopated guitar line in the verses - very similar approach.

"THE RIVER", you guys. "The [Fucking] River".

Never listened to these guys before to be honest. Would this be a good start?

The part at 0:53 of "The River" is my favorite section of the album.

YES. That and the part from 4:26 onwards.

I've been listening to this song for 2 hours straight. I can't get over it.

FearThyEvil, if you're looking to get into Insomnium, make sure you check out 'Since the Day It All Came Down' at some stage or another. Great album.
