yeah dream pop is a great genre. i have a feeling you would enjoy hartfield's true color, true lie. dont know too much about dream pop since most dream pop albums i listen to get lumped up with shoegaze tho

I'm disappointed at how little I'm listening to their new record, and how much I played all of their old stuff.

Their new record is great, different but great and maybe more consistently engaging for me than Eureka

They have another new album already? I thought they released an album in 2016. The one with the cats on the cover. After Eureka they've been on a steady decline. This band had so much potential. The fuck happened? Such a waste of good talent.

Beach House are pretty good, so maybe I'll like it. I'll check it out. Man...as far as I'm concerned this band stopped existing after Eureka. Fake World Wonderland had some decent tracks on it, though.

Her voice is as good as ever, but the new album itself just sounds incredibly boring. Wish I could personally talk to them and be like "The fuck, guys?"

That would explain why their past albums have sounded so uninspired.

Man, this review explains it really well.

It's really hard to put out something so consistently good for each year or two. This band is just one of the victim of Japanese music industry.

Damn, but how do you explain bands that still put out good albums consistently like Boris and Dir en Grey. Are they special cases?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
It's either special case or the year gap between each album is greater. Dir En Grey has a 3 years gap between their latest albums (idk about Boris). The special case also happens to BUCK-TICK. But for this case, there are a lot of artists/bands out there who went downhill after first couple of outstanding release. For example like: Nightmare, Envy, Mono, and TK has also showing a moment of stagnation in his solo debut.
