jesus this album hits so fucking hard...love nearly every song on this. considering bumping this up to a 5 and I dont give out 5s easily. Dendron's last verse brings shivers down my spine every time. when my friend died over the summer I had this album on repeat, especially Your Deep Rest. actually listened to this album on the drive to the funeral. anyways idk why im spewing all of this rn but just wanted to say I've been digging this album hard lately.

very true Zak and thanks Rowan. I've been trying to find sites that help break the lyrics down for this album but can't find many. I would kill to see a full analysis of all the lyrics for the songs on here but I guess thats not entirely possible since a lot of the lyrics probably need a bit of context to know exactly what Holden is talking about. anyways lyrics are brilliant especially Dendron.

so like can someone help me understand Dendron's last verse FULLY for example?

i get the gist that he's blaming himself for his friend's death but im confused on the whole trap thing like what did he do that is making him blame himself?

these ending lyrics hit so so hard yet the whole wording of it i get tripped up on. at first i thought Holden was the one saying how he wants all of this to be just in his head like he cant deal with his friends death so he wants this to be a dream or something. but after reading the lyrics online and how the last line is in quotes makes me think he is quoting his friend that died and that quote is the quote on his gravestone. idk...just kinda rambling here but theres too many lyrical moments in this album that make me think really hard about the meaning, making it tough to piece it all together.

Yeah I always took the "tell me again" being from the point of view of the friend and that he was the one who engraved it on the stone (metaphorically or whatever). It's essentially like a last statement before his friend's suicide sort of deal. As for the trap thing, it's unclear but it seems like he did something that pushed the friend away unintentionally before the death
