man, already Lightfinder sounds much more refined a developed towards their newer sound... still leans towards what was on this but had some more moments found later on Everchanger

more than anything, it really shows how solid Trey is and how versatile he is on the kit, those blast beats slapped

Yea Lightfinder goes hard, Aaron Matts guest spot is solid. The more time that goes by the more I appreciate Trey and everything he does lol, dude has done like everything. Wish he'd do more vox like he did at the end of Luna, those yells were really good

yea, I can definitely see the evolution in Wolf Skin, I freakin dig it... it's got that proggy riffs with a clean lead over top creating the ambiance, yessir

also, fun thing, I technically met Trey when I was younger, he used to go to my church and our family friend's were fairly close with him, so I saw him on occasion

Yea Wolf Skin still ranks as one of my favorite songs of theirs, it's so damn good. And shit dude that is dope lol, if you ever get the chance to talk to him about that you should lol

yeah that would be sick, I remember talking with one of his friends a couple years back and he's the one who told me that he helps write the majority of their guitar parts. Man is crazy talented, those riffs are juicy and it just helps that he writes them with a drum groove in mind

Dang Lightfinder and Wolf Skin were way better than I was expecting. I though they'd be limited to weird production or something, but no. They both slap. I do find Ben's slightly different vocal techniques really fascinating and make me wonder how, when, and why he changed.

Yea those singles whip, and this EP rules. Idk why Ben switched up his vocals and did away with all his highs, maybe he had poor technique and it was hurting his voice. Or maybe he just didn't think they fit anymore lol

My guess is the former based on interviews I've watched of the band, but idk.

Wolf Skin, Lightfinder, and the OG version of Half Life were the very first songs I heard from these guys. I was hooked when I heard that melodic tapping on the breakdown of Half Life.

Progressive Metalcore, especially from these guys, is truly the perfect balance between being chef's kiss and comfort food.

EP still bangs, weird mix of TDWP and their more progcore sound that they were building toward
