but in all seriousness, this review is ( : ♥
worthy GiaNXGX tribute 4 sure (RIP)

first track off the bat was magic reminds me of my avy

second one didn't hit me at all first listen but is starting to grow on me now that i'm listening to
it through different methods, i love how you brought in the consideration of "volume level" when
checking these dudes out because i've been messing with that a bit and it's always best when loud
like you described

unsure if headphones > speakers yet - on stuff like Veliotis / Sugimoto / Kinoshita / Unami's
Quartet i prefer headphones to catch everything. i love hearing onkyo or lowercase/improv whatever
this is right before heading to sleep, gives it a lot more of a lucid quality

"Quartet / Octet is about finding your center within these scattered sounds and letting them take
you away to its solemn and out-world trajectory, a place that’s unbounded by the norms of classical
composition, yet accommodating and generous to anyone willing to loose themselves within Sugimoto’s
whimsical trance."

best closing paragraph ever ever ever

man, quartet is on some other shit though like i've only connected to it on the real maybe one or so
times from all the dozens of listens and idk wtf even happened like on the brink of consciousness /
sleep - i remember hearing it in my dreams but i could see all around me, just wasn't able to move
and all this crazy kinda sleep paralysis stuff pressed down my body at this specific portion of
acegahd (i think cause it was achegahd, cause i remember the first song passing) and it wasn't
frightening at all or anything.. the song felt like it lasted for hours of and hours of some placid
dream-trapped out-of-body personal heaven hello earth kate bush hounds of love stuff

have been trying to replicate that experience since i first heard it and it just won't return like
the initial listen HMMMMMMMMMM

I love you Gia, but he's a boy that doesn't need tribute or accolades. He lives inside his own heart, and that's an awful big place to live. This review is dedicated to the 2-3 seconds spent flying in the air from canon to atop of peach's castle to finally meet Yoshi and receive a complementary message from the Mario 64 development team. Time stopped. All was quiet.

Appreciate the words ethos ~ I felt the same way with the second track, but it continued to grow into something fascinating, and the increased volume had almost everything to do with it. It helps to be in a lucid state for sure (ie: feeling extremely exhausted and dizzy can add a new depth to particular music)

My connection to Mario 64 is intense. I remember my older brothers getting it for Christmas in '96

and being in awe of how beautiful it looked. What by technical standards is awkward polygons and

crude texture maps now was something I'd never seen before. I don't even remember playing it that

much then, just watching my brothers play it and getting lost in that little TV screen where the

fireplace is suppose to be in the basement. A couple weeks ago I was determined to finally beat it

(120 stars) and when I did it felt magical. I haven't smiled that hard in a long time. Maybe all of

this is laughable, but oh well, this is who I am.

I miss that era of graphics too. Not in a nostalgic way either, but to me it just looks better.

Games these days are so bent on convincing people that these virtual worlds are reality with boring,

multi-shaded textures, "realistic" colors, shadows, and lighting effects that look wrong and awkward

in comparison to the real thing. The single tones and bold colors of a game like Mario 64 (and

countless others for the N64) weren't trying to heave reality at anybody, it was about exploring the

VIRTUAL; places that we know don't and cannot exist. It's more unique and imaginative that way,

especially for little kids who grow up on these things.

DO IT. I'd love to hear your thoughts ~ Will it be a review of the soundtrack?

That's what these interwebz is all about. Finding people who KNOW that warm feeling inside when you first hit the water in Jolly Roger Bay and the drums come in and your bobbin' your head to that eternal melody. Then you go back on the shore and just to stare at that big beautiful sky.

i actually just really read this "you came into the idea that i was using the bedroom concept in a figurate and abstract way, when i was really reffering to the bedroom being something that is visible and obvious, therefore it is conspicuous. your over thinking it." now and it makes absolutely no sense in the english language. i've read it a few times and i don't even know what you're trying to say. you never referred to it as being visible and 'obvious,' and if you had it'd still be a nonsensical point. using a bedroom as an example for something conspicuous is a terrible, illogical idea. all the pretension in the world couldn't save this point from being nonsense. i am prepared to argue this point because i know it is incontrovertible

also this is very enjoyable stuff
