Wait, Skrillex has been huge for this long and he's just putting out a full length?

This isn't terrible. But I'm no electronic music aficionado.

Song with the worst title on the album happens to be the best song. Hm.

Boompy Poomp would have worked a lot better as a short interval track, maybe a min and a half long.

Like the ones off Noisia - Split the Atom. Love those.

Comparing Boompy Poomp and Split the Atom is like comparing Krewella to Bonobo

Does Boompy Poomp not totally remind you of Leakage or Whiskers from Split the Atom? If it were a lot shorter, obv.

But other than that, Recess doesn't deserve to lick the dog shit from STA's shoes...and I kind of enjoyed Recess. STA is one of my favourites though.

I'm still digging the intro from Stranger though! It's defo the best thing on this album. It's a shame he went and fucked it up with that godawful trap synth whine

Fuck was hoping this would be a guilty pleasure not absolute shit. All Is Fair In Love And Brostep is the only song I like cause it at least sounds like vintage skrillex.

Good review, probably one of your better ones imo, in that your passion actually lends to the review, rather than subtract from it like in some of the others; it feels honest even if it is a little bit lengthy.

At this point I'd rather see Skrillex use his name/funds to do more with his production warehouse and label, and ignore making an albums worth of material. The occasional web-released EP? Fine, but he's not focused enough to do a solid album.
