"hey john maybe instead of alienating people all the time and representing sputnik in a piss-poor way you could actually give some constructive feedback and help people develop their writing skills. idk just a thought."

well i still dont know that i would call it pretentious i just didnt think there was any other way to explain this record other than the really over the top, sentimental way i wrote it cause all the music is is just an arpeggeiator on a juno-60

i like it as much as i do because it just sort of gels with me on a very visceral level, and hopefully someone who listens to it will feel the same way

i think if you continue to limit yourself here and only stick to the formalities of music journalism, your going to find yourself either bored and uninspired. why is thinking outside the box so unwelcome here? its easy for someone to come into a review and mask their lack of understanding by throwing out claims of pretentiousness or self-indulgence, when really a comment like that can say far more about the person making that claim than the writer itself.
