Agreed. I still need to listen to the debut album by Have a Nice Life.
Loved their 2014 release and everyone is saying Deathconsciousness is better.

Yeah I listened to it in the car one time with a friend but tbh I don't remember any of it because we got lost in the shadiest fucking hood, so I turned it down while trying to figure out how to get back on the highway.
In retrospect, I should have blasted it out my windows. The gangsters and thugs of NE Philly totally would have developed a new level of respect for me and welcomed me as one of their own.

If you're about to get robbed blast out Earthmover and the robbers will immediately curl up into a ball, contemplate their meagre existences and then cry themselves into oblivion

If there's any crying involved with T-Swift it'd probably be more along the lines of WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME TAYLOR but yeah
@Snake that's kinda stupid logic

You'll probably forget about most of it after a while and just miss out. I've always had the philosophy of just listen to whatever you want, when you want. Going in order is overrated. I've found it doesn't add much appeal to current/future albums unless you've been following them for a long time. Cramming 4-5 albums into a 2 month period just so you can gain some perspective on a new release just puts off your ability to discuss the album.

Not every band needs to be heard chronologically
in fact very few do

Album Rating: 3.0
yeah but it's those bands (especially swans) that have critically acclaimed albums that shouldn't go unheard

Some bands are pretty gratifying to hear from the beginning to hear how they evolve but yea agreed a lot of bands really don't need
to be heard in any particular order.
