Idk dude I dig it hard. Such chill shit, but I understand why people would find it a bit boring.
you can be chill without writing such boringly constructed songs. wings, la nuit marche avec moi, l'eveil des muses and away are all completely useless tracks that either build to nothing or just repeat ideas that weren't good to begin with.

This review parallels a lot of my feelings on this album. As much as I have loved Alcest's previous efforts, this clean departure from their darker undertones is in my opinion what makes it their most beautiful accomplishment and, I would argue, more pronounced because of juxtaposition. Like the calm after a storm, a light rain falling on the ravaged land as sun starts to break through the clouds in silent splendor. A soaring effort!

Band should have stuck to their niche, which is black metal shoegaze. There are much better shoegaze bands and much better black metal bands but when it came to combining the two no one does it better than Alcest.

black metal shoegaze, or at least metal shoegaze woulda been fine. Shoegaze even woulda been fine for them, had they not polished away their personality like they did on this album. Polished it away until it was bright any shiny, but not really anything else.
