Brave Bird gets emo rivival album of the year

Album Rating: 4.0
Kind of out of nowhere as this album is from last year, but yeah I'd agree with that if I didn't like Tiny Moving Parts more

This review definitely reads nothing like a 1.5. Hell, it reads more like a 3 than anything. Haven't listened to this band but will jam now

Seriously, this review in no way sounds like a 1.5, unless you're rating the "emo revival" scene instead of the album.

Besides your rants about "emo" in the past few years, your points about this album are exactly my feelings. Pos

I'm tired of the "emo revival" but I actually think that this is one of the few bands in it that is doing something to stand out

While I disagree with your opinion on Sports (hence the contrasting review), you make decent points here. I also dislike the people who act as if emo was just recently brought back, but the truth is a lot more emo has come about in the past couple years. You can't really deny that. It isn't a "revival" in the sense that the genre totally died and was brought back to life recently, but there has been an influx of new emo bands since around 2012 or so. I'm also not someone who has only recently caught on to this emo train the past year, seeing as I was listening to Chicago Bowls by Dikembe in 2011 wondering who the hell brought 90s emo back.
also, it's Grow Up, Dude not Kid.
