I'm not sure I'd say that about his lyrics. while still less than perfect (no master poet here obvs,) nothing fails as hard as some of the cringiest lines on Camp. I'd say Glover's subtler here, which is much appreciated by me

So whats this I hear about Gambino doing an ARG sorta of deal with this album? I've heard stuff about a script and etc, it'd be cool to follow.

haaaa im the only two screw you guys.

no it's realistically a 2.5-3 yeah, it's not all bad and at least the production isn't the b-side to a kanye album that camp was, and it doesn't have that ending monologue bullshit like holy hell that was bad. i really don't like his singing voice or presence as a rapper though, and his lyricism is on the level of drake except not even endearingly bipolar as fuck. idk it's not bad and if i try harder to listen to it unbiasedly it'd probably impress me more.

im just 2ing rn because i saw my window of opportunity to be unique.

A girl once tried to argue with me that Donald Glover was a superior rapper to Danny Brown. I about flipped shit. One of the dumbest statements I've ever heard anyone make.

And it's not like Donald is bad, but it's just ridiculous to say he's a superior artist to Danny.

the fact that Glover is even being compared to Danny Brown at this point means he must be doing something right

Fantano told me this sounds like Channel Orange B-Sides and since it took some emotional trouble to enjoy Channel I think I'll skip this one for now
