The original LP was so good because it was mostly stories. Now his songs are all just rap about this and that, whatever comes to your mind, plus bad choruses.

SSLP had better storytelling imo

SSLP is my cup of tea, but i do enjoy MMLP just as much. This is good, but it's only highlighted more because everything past TES has been complete dogshit.

MMLP was less consistent imo, but it still was dam good, what would've really saved this would've been if the

production was handled exclusively by Dre/Bass Brothrrs

Agreed there. Dre and Bass bros made Em, and it shows the moment they aren't in the picture, shit hits the fan.

There was no chance he was going to make an album that was as interesting or as catchy to masses of

people like MMLP or SSLP, but given what he had to work with, a pretty corny sequel album, this was

really impressive.

I like this more than Recovery, though I may have killed that album for myself by listening to it too much.

recovery wouldve been good if em didnt actively try to make the shittiest hooks possible on every song

There is still something about it that in my opinion makes it a historic album for hip-hop in this decade. It's powerful. But yeah, some of the hooks are bad and/or the songs can be depressing.

Shoutout to Trick2G for getting me to dive into hip-hop. I'm touching more into Kendrick, Kanye, more Eminem, Dr. Dre, etc. I mean, I always listened to at least a little bit of hip-hop, but now I am truly interested.

The thought of people still listening to this album on a regular basis is baffling to me.

Breaking, I was late to the party. I hated one of the singles so I avoided the album for months, but then I decided to try it out since I was also getting into hip-hop more recently.

Em's rapping is good, and the beats aren't that bad for the majority of the album

I don't ever play this full album anymore and really only listen to Brainless on a regular basis, but

I still think this is really impressive for his lyrics. Its refreshing to hear the wit of a lot of

these lyrics compared to all the other dumb shit in modern day (especailly mainstream) rap. You don't

have to listen to songs like Bad Guy on a regular basis for them to be superb.
