So good! m/ jamming again now

this is so pretty but so muso-ish too, in that tier of good but embarrassing metal I try not to listen to

This is consistently great with some amazing guitar melodies and awesome folk influences, but it goes into really cheesy double bass and harsh vocals with uninspired riffs hidden beneath. Plus, like someone said, the production is too much for an album like this.

I really do wanna like it though so I'll keep jamming it for awhile. Maybe it'll grow past the obvious hooks

@Spirit, they're similar imo but definitely some differences as well. Maybe give them a go i'm curious what you think

This is really my kind of music but due to it being so unremarkable I cant rate it any higher than a 3.



I find 'Gale of Winter' a superb song though.

Insomnium (for me) is just too repetitive. I'll check this out though

This is kind of like Enslaved meets early Amorphis digging hard. Haven't listened to metal like this in years and the leads are so icy.
