"But the manipulative and aggressive way Kurt was strong armed out of the creative process is probably % 90 the reason for backlash" [2]

In addition to the fact that alone. was a pile of shit and Kurt directly compared it to alone.

Seriously such a shame that Kurt won't be on new ALLB since it seemed like a proper No Place follow-up would have been great.

Was about to beat it and decided to check out the new tune first. Good song, but seems like its missing something. A little excited for the album I guess. I wanna hear a full album from Kurt's new project Eternity Forever a little more though

Both of those Eternity Forever songs have been in my head every day since release. I really didn't know what to expect when that project was announced but it might end up being my favorite project involving Kurt.

Also I forgot how much I loved this album, all these songs are super dense.

@Grey I think thats the problem I'm having with the new ALLB track. Its not nearly as dense as any of their previous stuff. Every song on here is just packed to the brim with shit and crazy.

not at all surprised by how they sound, given their whole push for change in direction/aesthetic (pretty sure this partly resulted in Kurt leaving too) - in some ways, this sounds like the next step of alone. (the other vocalist's solo project)

also, did not know of Eternity Forever! wow their songs are v v good but that name though omg

@silent yeah name sucks and glad I could show you them.. I purposely included the band name so people could check em out in my comment.

I just relistened to this album and honestly its aged pretty well. I really enjoyed it.

yeah it's always nice to revisit this album (or conversation piece) once in a while - will be seeing them live soon, so really excited for that (i don't think they've toured canada in years, so will be my first time)

they are being supported by some really good bands too (Owel, Hearts like Lions)

New single is emotional but I much prefer the band's more virtuosic and chaotic elements.

Did Cory ever get an answer for "When we grow up, do we still get scared when the lights go out?"
