I've never been able to get into this album properly. I've been listening to the band since '07. Damn

I first heard PT in '03, but I didn't listen till '09. Wasted time.

Man I was excessively jamming PT, DT, SX, POS, Opeth etc back then, good times.

"Just psyche out Omair"

Yeah I know, I enjoy the moods of quite a few songs, don't know why not the whole album. Probably will

try again sometime

I love the psyche atmosphere. I mean it was pretty similar in the sky moves as well and I really enjoy that album. I haven't jammed this in a while so I can't pinpoint what I dislike about this album.

"omair always digs bands later outputs like a non elite bitch ass"

The quota for elite asses is filled already mang. And come on I mean Calling all stations> Foxtrot lets be honest

it still gets some love but its more common to see stuff like this and stupid dream get bumped lately where as back in the day it was pretty much exclusively absentia, deadwing and planet

I don't think there's a concept but it certainly has masterful flow

Npt lyrically, but in terms of how it opens and closes. The dude that talks at the beginning of the album shows up again at the end.

Which makes me think a bit of the "Pigs on the Wing" tracks on Animals. I think Wilson inspired himself on that album when he made this one.

Come to think of it, it may well be said that he intended UtD, TSMS and this to be his "Big 3" as TDSOtM, WYWH and Animals were for Floyd. Big words of course.
