Dunno what's wrong with me, but think I enjoyed Everything Now more than this. And I know it's not good lol.
I'm really struggling with a lot of this album, I think if it didn't drag *so much* I would dig it a hell of a lot more. We Exist is nice and all, but it's unnecessarily padded out... Like a lot of songs on here for me. I have a feeling it will grow on me over time though, maybe.

This can be said for all artists and albums, but- I think it’s pretty dependent on what album and age you first dive in to an artist with a catalog as big as AF’s. I was at the peak of my first dive into the suburbs when this album came out so it was easy as hell to enjoy, didn’t dig most of their stuff after this though (everything now has one or two bangin tracks tho)

They use Supersymmetry on the movie Her and it’s beautiful in that context

The song overall really stalls out and turns into nothing imo but they have some great ideas/passages throughout this album. Okay done with my arcade fire support lol… this album is pretty good but not in the same league as their first two albums

I'm starting to "get" the album a bit more now. Seems much more enjoyable to digest in the background, rather than to put all attention to it, if that makes sense. Here Comes The Night Time II is a particular highlight for me, love the atmosphere on that track. Afterlife is also really good now I've gave it more time. Still not wowing me like the first 2-3 albums but far from a bad listen.

And now I've finally "got" it. Such a bizarre album, started off disliking it quite a bit, but now I'm loving it. Up there with Suburbs for me, bumped to a 4!
Must be a dark December evening kinda album, was really vibing with it tonight.

Glad to hear you like it now! I find that I really enjoy this album even more when I’m listening to it on a system or headphones with great bass. The added electronic production aspects really lend themself well to a good bass setup imo

Will have to try it through my sound system, only listened to it through Logitech computer speakers (whilst I'm working) but it still sounds really nice through them. Loving the production!
Decided this is definitely a Winter night album, captures the mood so well. Works well in rotation with the likes of Think Tank by Blur and Silent Alarm by Bloc Party. Gives off those cold but comforting Winters nights vibes.
