I think this is a hard 3. The atmospheric songs aren't as often as the dodgy upbeat punk songs. Still a good album though!

Album is really good. It's a good step forward in their evolution. You can hear their earlier roots come back on this record. Davey has a couple yells/screams on this too lol.

I rather hate most of the interviews and news bits Davey and co. did for this album, they obviously don't want to get into specifics over things and it makes all the articles feel lifeless and overly restrained (as was the reddit AMA).

Autumn is always a great time to bust out some AFI, so this album came around at the perfect time.
The gloom mixed with pop works well on this one but overall its a bit underwhelming. Crash Love was more enjoyable, but that grew on me hard so maybe this will too.
