I don't think that's what potsy meant, just that danny tries to own some sort of original style but to me it just comes off as tacky and underwhelming, black milk is actually good so of course I'd dig yea.

I like Black Milk as well, but he's twice as experimental when it comes to beats, and No Poison is a great album but not as consistent as this.

i really like the first two songs and "dope fiend rental" from side A and sort of like it in theory better but side B has grown on me a lot and I think I prefer it now. just beats like "dope song" and "smokin and drinkin" and "break it go" are undeniable for me

that said the idea that danny brown's voice remains "unvaried", especially in comparison to almost any modern rapper out of which danny brown is apparently the most "overrated", is completely untenable. just throwing that out there
