It better, this might be the most underwhelming stretch of episodes since the beginning of season 1, though still better obviously

Nah this this is definitely the worst season yet which is disappointing considering how it's the last and how strong it started. Hopefully it ends strong.

I still think it's really stupid how they had the biggest conflict by far be in the second season, that definitely deserves to be the final battle. I mean how can you ever get any bigger than the entire fate of the physical and spiritual worlds with the threat of both worlds plunging into thousands of years of darkness or whatever by some monstrous spirit demon

I was afraid that they weren't gonna top season 3. In retrospective that may be the best season in the avatar universe for me actually. Ok maybe tied with season 3 haha

Dude I found out why they did a clip episode:
"We got the news from the higher-ups that our Book 4 budget was getting slashed, almost to the tune of an entire episode's budget. We had two options: 1) let go a significant number of crew members several weeks early, or 2) make a clips episode. We never considered the first option. We weren't going to do that to our crew, and even if we were callous enough to do so, we never would have been able to finish the season without them.
Back on Avatar, we had something that functioned as a sort of clips episode, though it was all new animation and really hard to make, Episode 317, "The Ember Island Players." Our heroes went to a play where they saw themselves and their tales performed by actors on stage. It was simultaneously a reckoning for the characters before they headed into the denouement, and a lighthearted romp where we got to poke fun at our own show before things got really serious in the remaining episodes. Korra's "Remembrances" ended up serving the same function, albeit with old footage instead of a newly animated play. There is about 5 minutes of new footage, wonderfully animated by Studio Mir, and a bunch of funny and touching narration from the characters. There are also some fun chibi heads and other treats in there to spice up the old footage."

This is why Nickelodeon should die
or at least most of it, TMNT is still a good show

Yeah that was dumb. At least Mako's part was kinda character development, if dull as rocks. Korra's part was just idiotic. Varrick and Bolin were funny as usual tho, Zaheer's "Did I catch you at home line" to Vaatu was hilarious lol.
Fuck Nick though

also so agreed, this is prob the worst season of Korra so far. It's been like 8 episodes? and there's literally no momentum built and no end game in sight. I expect it to redeem itself and be better than 1 & 2 when it's all said and done but I'm a little disappointed after how great 'Korra Alone' was. Season 3 is gonna look so fucking good compared to the overall quality of the series as a whole as a retrospective, I think.

okay triple post but w/e
@Talons
you're definitely right. The show has been building up what it means to be the Avatar and everything for the last 3 seasons. It would have been super fascinating for Unalaq to be the foil of Korra as the Avatar and in personality, values, etc. and for that battle to be the climax

new episode's pacing was kind rushed, but that soundtrack was on point.
would've liked for them to split that ep into two parts tho since so much happened... fuck nick.

Great episode. I think it's finally shaping up for a fantastic finale.

If Huan is a metalbender, why did he stay behind when the other metalbenders went to challenge Kuvira?

Yes that episode was amazing!
@Ars, probably because he's an artist. The twins have a lot of experience fighting (each other) but Huan probably doesn't
