Idk it just bothers me that we haven't seen them for a long time and they could at least being trying to aid Korra cause it's getting out of hand.

I am pretty sure I only posted in this because I saw a bunch of ppl I know in it, but what is this show?
|
| |
Lol, you remember the show Avatar: The Last Airbender? This is the sequel show to it. I recommend watching both they're amazing.
|
| |
I know of it, but I have not watched it. Would this be considered anime?
I'm guessing probably not since it's on Nickelodeon, ha ha.
|
| |
Well I wouldn't really know cause I'm not really an anime guy but there's always an argument of it being considered an anime. But don't let the fact that it was on nick sway you. Avatar was amazing and had something for everything. Plus the plot and action kicked ass.

Good episode, even if it doesn't focus on the story that much.
|
| |
Yeah, it was great for filler, but is it just me, or do those fire and water benders Bolin and
Varrick befriended seem suspicious?

"I'm allergic to drowning" lol Varrick is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters

I don't think it was filler at all although not as much stuff happened. Varrick is the best character in the show and it's not even close tbh
That train fight was pretty sweet. I really hope they're consistent and the swamp fucks with Kuvira. I'm pretty sure it sent a tornado in A:TLA so
@Ecnal, idk it's anime-inspired but it's made in the West so it's not technically anime. I also would say it lacks a lot of tropes associated with anime, even though it's steeped in Asian mythology.
In any case, I really recommend A:TLA! It's one of the best shows I've watched, and I have no hesitation in saying it's tied with Breaking Bad for my favorite show ever. The first few episodes are a little childish but once you hit 'The Storm' (S1E10) you'll understand the show's brilliance. Don't be turned off from it if you're not a fan of anime!
|
| |
Yea it's a bit childish especially in the first season because...well...it was on nick so it had to be at some points but nonetheless. It's amazing and every season finale was unbelievable.

I've seen a few animes I liked. Samurai Champloo and Afro Samurai (do I have a thing for anime samurais?) were both really good. I remember watching Yu Yu Hakusho when I was younger and liking it quite a bit, too.
There was another one I watched on Adult Swim called FLCL a long time ago (early 2000s). It was so fucking weirdly fascinating, I couldn't stop watching it.
Is Avatar on Netflix?
|
| |
I honestly don't know but if it is then I wouldn't be surprised. But I'm pretty sure the Nickelodeon website has all of the episodes since it has all of the Korra episodes.
|
| |
No not on Netflix unfortunately. It used to be though.

@Ecnal, yeah if you don't have a huge problem with anime, then I'd definitely check it out. It's not on Netflix but it's on Amazon Prime, and obviously there are more dubious methods of watching it.
Also I need to watch FLCL lol

Okay, that episode started out pretty meh (because Mako) but turned into quite possibly one of the best fucking things I've seen on this show.
I fucking love Varrick. EASILY my favorite character on the show at this point.

As if this show's momentum couldn't slow down any more, are we sure this is the final season?!
|
| |
That was... boring
Except the Bolin part. That made me laugh.

I may just skip this one if it's just a clip show(I know cause I read igns review). Seriously, why do this? ugh

It's a good check in for where the characters are currently and their thoughts, but yeah it's pretty pointless. I can't believe there's only like five episodes left and everything is basically at a standstill
|
| |
I'm sure shit will escalate pretty quickly but for now I'm pretty much scratching my head at this.
