Check ektoplazm.com for nu-goa stuff, and google Goa comps for great things from years past.

I've been holding off, not quite ready for another psytrance binge yet.

i definitely binge hard on psytrance. it's funny, either it's the only genre i listen to for weeks on end, or i don't listen to it at all

Nope, and sadly a lot of the older groups are past their heyday or have changed into EDM oriented events (Infected Mushroom comes to mind here).
However the USA isn't a great place for psytrance, overseas has that on lockdown. I looked into Ozora Festival (aka dreamed about being able to afford to go) but even these events are changing with the larger influx of people. Luckily the original event planners often move to create new ones if they dislike this level of popularity, and new amazing experiences are born.
If you have time check out the video for the 2011 festival, the track list is insane and contains some of my favorite artists hands down; watching it just makes me want to go escape for a bit:

And to be clear I'm not spiritual and find meditating pointless; I like the music and could care less about the common mentality of the festival goers.

yeah i've never seen any psytrance artists perform:[ mostly, like you said, the artists playing regularly in the usa have largely moved on to other styles.

but I'd still like to check out a show at least once, but like Acanthus said, most of these groups are done

Yeah Shpongle crowds are pretty fun, just ignore the smell of methadone and other MDMA copycats.

Shpongle's worst album. But an incredible album with some of the best music around.

Snake, Fuck you, no offense but this time and a few of the previous times upon your previous postings I felt and feel remarkably inclined to suggest and (more than) infer that I believe you and your suppositions are incorrect, ESPECIALLY due to you having given this album when you rated it a 5 out of the 5 that sputnik allows. It's at least better than Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland.

Nothing exceptionable here they haven't done before.
