Maybe there's a lesson to be learned here. Maybe we're all Baseline. Maybe Baseline is a part of all of us. The dark part you don't talk about. You know what I'm saying.

the comments were just removed base still exists

Dunno what to think of this
Sounds like they spent so much of their time trying to come up with crazy time signatures and tunings and technicalities that they forgot to actually just write a fucking good song. Like in Sound Awake sure there were some cool time sigs and structures and stuff but they added to what were already good songs, they didn't try to make them around that. Idk

Out of interest SitarHero, was your initial reaction on the first listen very different from how you
felt as you were getting ready to put your words on the page?
I really want to like this, but I'm still edging towards a 3. A large share of the disc feels
incredibly incoherent and even contrived. Their mellow material is infinitely more mature than their
harder side.

The Last Few is the only song I'm iffy on.
Top 3 are deffo;
Sky Machine
Nachash
Alpha Omega.
Also some interludes are wayyyyyyyy too long.

Haha A.M. War is the only song I'm iffy on (as well as the title track interlude).
On the contrary my fave 3 at the moment are
Nachash
The Last Few
Aeons
Though after seeing Aeons live before it was released.. I feel like they maybe butchered it a little
by leaving out the outro and adding on that little extra chorus bit, but hopefully it grows on me.
I do doubt this will top Sound Awake for me though, or even Themata. But we shall see!

The "break the mold, lets shake the ground, wreak havoc" part of Alpha Omega is so good!
Love the Cynic type vocals in it. And yeah, I doubt it will top Sound Awake but that album took 4 years of growing and ended up being one of my fave albums ever so you never know.
I am diggin this more than Themata though. Probably cause' it's longer and I love me some 8 min Karnivool songs :P
