I agree. Everybody needs a complete Maiden discography. And a complete Priest one. And an In Flames one. Plus Metallica.
Now we're talking.

Now That is music. And Some Hendrix. Never hurts to listen to him.

These are pretty much Maiden's best songs. Although 'futureal' and 'man on the edge' really suck and don't deserve to be on this record.

They're not that bad, but since they were included it would be nice to also see something from the Paul Di'Anno years. Maybe a little Wrathchild? Maiden's two pre-Bruce albums are both really good.
And these are their best KNOWN songs, I'd say, not best. A lot of great album tracks aren't on here (obviously).

I would have put Phantom of the Opera and Prowler on here purely because they are awesome Maiden songs. And it really should have Aces High and perhaps Blood Brothers.

This compilation seems a bit pointless to me.

Powerslave is basically a greatest hits :D

Good point it is. And most of Seventh son.

Any definitive Maiden best-of needs at least 120 songs.
That said, the only really glaring gaps in this album are the absence of Wrathchild and Aces High. Everything else would be classed as 'album tracks', but they were both singles.

I'm not going to rate your review.

You should calm down a bit guys, it was his first review, and those were his opinions.

As one of the few who know who iron maiden girl is i think that even though it isn't my style, i liked the CD

A simply amazing Greatest Hits album! Many more great songs besides what's on here though of course.

"The Trooper seemed to me to be just a little too generic for Iron Maiden"

It's one of their best songs EVER and you say its too generic for IRON MAIDEN?

Hallowed Be Thy Name?!?! How could they possibly not have that on here?

I bought this a long time ago before I had all the Maiden albums, it is not a very good compilation in terms of song selection. Tracks 11-14 are fail and not having Hallowed is a sin.
