Got another person to check this out, and they loved it. Slowly getting this thing out of obscurity... on this one site, at least.

I've been trying since I first started using the site to get people to check these guys out. Such an under appreciated album. The other album I'm always trying to get people to hear is Chris Poland's (Original Megadeth Guitarist) chill jazz prog project Damn The Machine.

Ok that sounds like a nice combo! Who knows, might give it a go!

I don't know man! I'm a biologist, and it came naturally to me. Always loved the outdoors, and plants are an easy target for observation. They can be seen with the naked eye, don't run away and have to cope with amazing troubles because they're mostly sedentary.

I mean, think about it! How to find a mate, make out, make sure your offspring finds a nice spot to grow, find food and water, fend off enemies or hungry foes, and deal with the weather without walking!

Plus they're beautiful.

That's the strangest description of plants I've ever read...

My god the drum sound on this. Production in general rules hard here.

Amazing mixture of styles too.

Glad you checked it out. Yeah, the drum sound is crushing. So is that deep bass guitar. See what I’m talking about? The first two songs are kind of conventional (kind of) then they get more and more dark and doomy. But they stick with alt rock vocals which kind of makes it more unique too.

"In Bad Dreams" on their second album is a pretty amazing song but little else on that album does anything for me. How does this album compare to that?

Oh man I can definitely see this growing on me. They found something unique that wasn't repeated afterwards even though it worked beautifully. So weird how that happens sometimes.

Reminds me of The Gathering in a way.

Not listened to this forever. Will have to dig it out. Saw them live in Edinburgh back in 1993 and was blown away.
