Been jamming this album again recently after never really giving it a proper chance back in 2013. First off this album is full of energy, the return of Jesse obviously invigorated the rest of band. This works for good and bad. The good songs are brilliant, "beyond the flames", "in due time", "the turning point", "time will not remain" are all KSE classics, however the album is too long, there's a chunk of songs in the middle, tracks 7-10 that just don't need to be there, I always lose interest until "always" kicks in with a different vibe. You can see why they wanted to stack the album but they needed to cut a few tracks off it in my opinion. Still overall an awesome return to form though.

This album is surprisingly fun as fuck. Anyone else notice how '80s those riffs really are?

'Always', both the song and music video effected me in such an unexpected way, but for the best I think.

It really did get me thinking of what would happen if one of my brother's was gone or will be gone due to illness or any kind of accident, and how I could possibly process such a reality. But then I looked at it from the other end and asked "what if I put my brothers through this"?

I've been a pretty heavy smoker for the past three years. It was one of the few things that seems to make me cope with depression, even if it's killing me a little more each day. But now this song gave me the epiphany of how selfish and irresponsible that thought process is, when you're damaging your own health and ignoring those who love and accept you for what you are.

So, 'Always' has made me officially want to quit smoking for good. For the love of my brothers. I know it's corny as all hell to put this up here, but you know what, fuck it.

this sounds way more inspired than their latest two albums. there's so much energy and power here that's totally lacking now.

I miss the energy this album has. Nothing new or amazing but so much fun. The Hell in Me, New Awakening, In Due Time, All We Have, The Call, A Tribute to the Fallen... all bangers.

This album is so underrated it’s crazy, and it’s a million times better than anything that came after it.
