If you've ever been a fan of this band and gave up on them, it might be time to come back.

Their last album was solid so I think a lot of people were excited about this. Great review, you only got my more excited to hear this.

This is pretty cool actually, but the drums and the vox are pretty bad.

I have heard good things about Soilwork's first three albums, is this one anywhere near them?

Different, for one thing. I have to agree about the vocals, though. Something feels off about Strid's singing on albums. Can't put my finger on it, though

@Viper

Why do you think the drums are bad?

well not technically bad, but they are kinda boring; they dont bother me as much as the vocals

I'm not sure if Strid's high pitched scream notes are genuine. His voice sounds too contorted. Even if they're real, they just don't sound too good. Compare those notes to Devin Townsend's and see what I mean.

The album still rules tho

If someone rates this album 4.5 and doesn't like album 2-3 than he/she has obviously not heard them. This is overrated as shit, but I'm a fanboy so I'm not going to rate this any less.

Curse.

I've liked every album except Sworn To A Great Divide but this is their best since NBC

I liked the first four albums, haven't liked too much of their stuff since then

jammed the first couple tracks from this one today though, sounded pretty good. it's just hard for me to get excited about this style of metal anymore.
