J4AC are truly amazing... I don't understand why they are getting slated by so many people. They can pull outstanding break downs out of the simplest of riffs + there's always a climax in each of their songs which drives you to want more once the song has finished.

And whats the point in everybody arguing over what genre they are? They're just an amazing band so chill out.

Deathgrind (also "death-grind" or "death/grind") is an old mixture of grindcore and death metal, somewhat similar to early goregrind, usually concentrating on the speed and brutality of the former and the technicality of the latter. Vocals are more typical of guttural death metal growls rather than the more abstract squeals and growls of grindcore

haha peace

^^ yeah it does. A lot of peopel consider Napalm Death the perfect example of

death grind. Then there is also bands like Cretin, who fit the description perfectly. This Message Edited On 06.19.06

A lot of people are idiots Cravinov. Considering all the retarded arguments you've initiated and prolonged, I thought you would know that. Deathgrind is not a genre. There can be grind bands influenced by death metal and death metal bands influenced by grind, but that doesn't mean the genre's bastardize themselves just because some band somewhere uses elements of both.

I've gotta admit, deathgrind is a new one for me. But all these genre's; core's, grinds, posts, ect. get unbelievebly annoying.

But anyways I would like to check out Job For A Cowboy, this sounds interesting and the name alone makes me want to buy it and check it out. And also...Dancin' Man, you are probably the only one that can write good short reviews everytime and get away with it (Not get flamed for it.)

I think you are correct. I've been doing it long enough and consistently enough that it works. I also know what I'm listening for and what I plan to talk about before I start. Listening to the album while you write the review helps.

I hate this kind of Metal....it's like making a puzzle and force the piece to fit. It's very heavy, the musicianship is insane but the songs are boring and repetitive.

Review could have been better. This EP was really good. I first saw them and was blown away by the mixture of metal they played. There is a strong influence by death metal with a splash of metalcore which i like. I just like calling it metal. The only thing that bothers me is all the scene kids going to their shows. I would compare the band to Through the eyes of the dead, Skinless, Despised Icon, and All Shall Perish. If you like JFAC check out these bands.

I like the term deathgrind, and it's not ne to me, I've heard it used several times before.

Do you know what a malapropism is? It works the same way when the word doesn't exist.
