I'm not talking about just myself. I'm talking about anyone with a brain in this thread that disagrees with you. Dunno if you
noticed it or not but I said "we" not "I". Believe it or not, I actually did read the last 6 or so pages before posting. On top of that,
yet again you ignored everything else I said because I insulted you.
Nice job posting that 3 times btw

even if you managed to scrape together a good line of reasoning it would probably be void considering you're gonna make someone look like dipshit to WHOM? You're one of the most 'hated' users on this site apart from andcas and Insurrection. You're basically Mr. Burns minus the money, the minions, longivety/age and the personal servant.

Hardcore reality raps that are brilliantly crafted in traditional rhyme format are too much for me,
please turn on Kendrick Lamar reading out of a rhyming dictionary as fast as he can to make pseudo-
intellectual points over a beat that goes
DDEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOLEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOooooo. And every
time it says LEEEEDLE Kendrick RHYMES WITH THE RHYTHM! EPIC! MINDBLOWING! 5!!!!! OMG HIP HOP I LOVE
IT
jack ass.
yea except I don't even like KL...like at all. nice try tho. also like how you dodges my question and instead chose to get butthurt over 1 sentence criticizing IT.
I'll ask you again, why do you choose hip hop (I'd say music, but you don't listen to other music unfortunately) as a way to express how deep and "informed" you are, when there are much better mediums to do that? like maybe read a book ( and hopefully improve your spelling, 2 birds 1 stone etc)? why is it that your main criteria in music is for it to have some profound and (pseudo)intellectual meaning?
|

Lmao MY arguments are stupid? Oh wait, I guess I should completely ignore everything you said cause you called me stupid, sorry, try again.
Besides, him being a good rapper is a matter of opinion. If you think he's the best rapper ever then go ahead listen to him as much as you want. But where the real stupid comes in is when someone doesn't think he's a good rapper and instead of just taking that for what it is you automatically assume it's because his music is 2deep4them. No, it's not because we don't understand his lyrics, it's because we think he's a bad rapper, is that really that fucking hard to understand?
|
| |
nobody pays you, you're unemployed
still dodging my question, nice. I'll tell you why, because as Km an said earlier by your logic, you'd listen to someone smashing their head against the wall yelling conspiracy theories if you thought it was "deep" enough...which is completely retarded...but you also think IT is a revolutionary, so I wouldn't put it past you haha
|
| |
why don't you put me in my place and just answer my question then? I'm genuinely curious to see your answer, but at the same time it's really amusing watching you dance around it.
|
| |
ok let's take this with baby steps
your main criteria for judging music is whether or not the lyrics are meaningful, yes or no?
|
| |
okay, what is it then?
|
| |
Then why as soon as someone says they dislike IT do you automatically respond with something along the lines of "well you're obviously just too ignorant to understand what he's talking about so of course you don't like it". How do you even draw that conclusion? How do you know that everyone in this thread isn't the most well versed person when it comes to corruption in the government, but they just dislike his music? Personally, no, I don't really care to learn about all that stuff, but if I thought he was a good rapper then that wouldn't matter because I would still enjoy his music.
I don't even care at this point though, you are so painfully hard to hold any sort of a argument with that I'm just done with this.
|
| |
if immortal technique didnt rap about what he does and just rapped about normal shit would you like him hillary? because to me if you take that stuff away from him hes a below average rapper in all other areas. his delivery, his flow, his personality, and his general songwriting skills are not very good, but yes he will talk about drone strikes.
|
| |
lol you don't know what you look for in music? surely you're just saying that for the sake of argument?
the reason why I said that is because judging from your comments, this is how you judge music:
Artist X (let's go with IT here because it's relevant) is amazing because he spits revolutionary awesomeness. you're too dumb to comprehend this. (all the while not mentioning any other musical qualities that would make Artist X good)
Artist Y sucks because the lyrics are meaningless. only an idiot like you will enjoy this. listen to some IT and FREE YOUR MIND (all the while not referencing any other musical qualities that would make Artist Y bad)
so it follows logically that it seems that the most important (and probably only) aspect of music for you is the lyrics.
|
| |
and that's a good question from Yankee.
let's say everything about IT's music was the same except for his lyrics. replace his lyrics with horrorcore lyrics like big L. would you still like him?
|
| |
im not talking about selling out and being a mainstream fuckhead. anyone can do that correct. im talkin about being a very good rapper regardless of conspiracy content. thats obviously ITs main drawing point. Hes a one trick pony.
|
| |
you don't even have a fucking grasp on english
dude u can't even spell the word amateur
|
| |
wow
|
| |
All you care about are his politics what are you even spewing now? Thats literally all you talk about lol. You got butthurt pretty quick though.
Look man it comes down to this. I can care less what this lump is talking about. I just care if the songwriting is good. Im not a lyrics guy really. I care more about the overall song. Lyrics/message/deepness lol are all bonuses to me, and not what I look for first. IT is a great guy to listen to for some musical politics, but hes not a great overall rapper. Maybe once you grow up a little and move past the whole Alex Jones phase you'll learn that there is more to music than yapping about 9/11.

I don't think I've ever seen a bigger fool in my entire life. it's either that or you're one of the best trolls I've ever seen.
|
| |
See the difference between Eminem, Nas, Mos Def, Big L, and Wu Tang is they can rap about pretty basic hip hop themes or anything at all and make much better music than IT. IT needs his politics to stand out. Without them hes shit.
|
| |
how have you not been banned yet?

this is the point he fails to see. you said IT is a one trick pony because all he's got going for him is his political lyrics (ie: he's painfully lacking in all other departments). just because the other rappers he mentioned rap about a certain theme, doesn't make them one trick ponies. they have all the other aspects of music down.
logic hillary, do you speak it?
