if you dig some katatonia, yeah.

I personally find the melodies and guitar work here way better than most of katatonia's stuff. Similar vibe though.

Katatonia is one of my top 5-10 bands so yeah I'm gonna jam this when I get back from my lunch break. m/

This is good stuff. Wouldn't take it over any of Katatonia's albums though lol.

I'd take this over a Discouraged Ones and Viva Emptiness.

This holds up years after its release. I mean, I love Katatonia, but this takes their trademark gothic/prog rock sound and makes it even more engaging. The riffs and vocals here are outstanding. The only issue might be in the album's second half being just a little bit weaker IMO.

Yeah the second half takes more time to hit, but I've grown to love it a lot. And good point on the katatonia bit. Honestly the only Katatonia releases that I think that are on par or better than this is Great Cold Distance and Fall of Hearts.

Agree with you about The Fall of Hearts, that's my favorite from Katatonia and has the most similar sound to this. I would really love to see more from this band, if they even still exist. How do you come up with something as good as this and never follow it up?

Definitely in my decade list. I think they're done.

That's a shame if we never hear anything from them again

So many mediocre bands floating around while talented dudes like these call it a day after one album...

sounds like Josh (vocalist/guitarist) is pretty determined to keep the project going, it's just taking a while. he's been more active on the band's social media recently, even independently put out a remastered version of this earlier this month.

That's great to hear. Might check out this remastered version. Here's hoping the guy gets all the support he needs.

I bought a copy on their bandcamp (use discount code "yourreward" and its only $5) and asked about a 2nd album on their facebook. He replied and said there might be and to keep checking
