The is Death's watershed album... Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy are great death metal albums but you could say there are many better death metal albums than those out there... Spiritual Healing was the beginning of something truly unique and masterful; it's when death metal became technical and complex; SH was the bridge to masterpieces like Human and Symbolic.

In my opinion this album has everything a good metal release should have; solid riffs and solos, a production good enough to let you appreciate what the band was trying to accomplish, change of tempos and complex songwriting without becoming boring or dull.

This is one of my all time favorite metal albums.

It’s good but the others just outclass it imo

This is an important release in Death’s progression but that doesn’t catapult it above other important landmarks in their career. SBG was a landmark release, Human was a landmark release etc.

This is a really excellent album but by this band’s standards it’s simply solid.

Chuck's most underrated work, every track here rules hard.

The album also has their best solos.
