Nice review. Wasn't a big fan of the vocals on the track you linked though.

really? i love them! you should try to find the song 'no ticket' on youtube. it sounds completely different vocally maybe you'll like it.
|

That's a little better and that was a really cool song. I don't know... It seems like the more punk and pop punk I listen to, the more all the vocalist start to sound the same to me.
|
| |
yeah but that could be said for just about any genre. :P
idk if you listen to the whole album you might be surprised. there's a lot of variety in the vocals on the album.
|
| |
wow the clash's version of straight to hell kind of sucks
|
| |
lol
|
| |
disagree?
i love the clash but hadn't heard that song and their version is kind of underwhelming.

Yea, true, Atari. Maybe it's just me, but it seems especially bad in the punk world. I haven't listened to a ton of pop punk or punk though. Maybe I have just been hearing most of the bands that are trying to sound like all the others.
I will give the whole thing a shot here in the near future. I just bought a bunch of new stuff in the last month or so that I am trying to get through.

Yeah Straight to Hell is a classic
|

idk i like the menzingers version better but maybe it's becasue i hadn't heard the original before

Great album. Awesome band. Clash's Straight to Hell is perfect but I do love the Menzingers take on
it.
|
| |
i need to hear the clash's version again. it was just a lot less energetic than the menzingers version. i like the clash but hadn't heard that song for some reason.
|
| |
It's because it's from Combat Rock which is a totally hit-or-miss record with some classics and a lot of meh
|
| |
yeah only album i've heard in its entirety is london calling
|
| |
