I'm usually the massive Green Day defender on this site but...People actually think this is the best of the trilogy?
Sex drugs and violence is the worst song they've done.

It may not be the best song but it doesn't kill the album.
I am a Green Day fan as well and I have listened to this five times so far, and it is obvious to me as
the best of the trilogy. While Uno is a great album, I'm listening to it right now and find Tre to have
more heart and enjoyment to it. Something about it, it sounds like a real, genuine Green Day.

Fair enough man. I love dos the most, it's just raw rock n roll and we finally hear Billie let lose on the Guitar.

Haha yeah I dunno maybe the other two wore me out? Yeah I enjoy this and it's fun but it just feels so generic in places. It does have some of the best songs from the trilogy though.

How this sounds generic compared to the first two of the trilogy is beyond my understanding.

there is worse than this. Like wasn't Trebor saying that TDTE had the worst album of the year???

The very question ticks me off, Nightmare. The fact that users here care or think about the "worst" and
what sucks just pisses me off. Not directing this at you personally, but a lot of people here are so
fucking negative.
On a positive note, I love your image.

This has actually grown on me today...

I thought the same at the beginning, that is the worst, but the songs grow on you. Leaving the issues aside, it's a fun album. What's sad is the fact that Warner stopped promoting the trilogy in the past couple of months. They were all over the place for UNO! and now there's no word about TRE! anywhere.
The release dates are a flaw, because there's little time to promote each record. They should have released UNO! in September (that one is okay), but DOS! now in December or January and TRE! in April or May. Also, Billie Joe's rehab stint doesn't help either.

I saw a commercial advertising the trilogy during the VGA awards on Spike last night. I'm not too
concerned with publicity of release dates, as I will enjoy the music anyway.

I can't even find DOS! and most probably won't find TRE! until February or March. I barely found a copy of UNO! a couple of weeks ago without having to buy it from the internet.

Physical copy demand is very low these days. What country do you live in?

Yeah I live in Australia and I swear I'm the only one who knows about this trilogy. Promo was fucked up indeed.

yeah same here. Thats why I'm surprised Green Day is still considered 'successful'. Nobody talks about it where I live. Either that, or people say they suck.
|

Bands should forget about "physical copies" and just release their music on the internet, it would probably cost less to distribute it this way also.

People like to have physical copies. You get the case and disc, plus the artwork and lyrics. It is
definitely more permanent than a digital copy.

I just have physical copies of 14 albums right now. The rest are torrents and shit like that.
