Also this is a completely different album from TotBL and it always bewilders me when people talk as though it has a lot of continuity with it. The entire attitude, vibe, and songwriting is totally different.

“Hands Away” is good just not much to it imo
Yeah the vibe here is quite different, I almost like this vibe better, it’s very darkly romantic but with a slightly menacing edge.
Reluctant to explore the rest of their discog since everyone says it’s diminishing returns.

Pioneer to the Falls from the next album is excellent & The Heinrich Manoeuvre is a nice alternative to Evil, catchy af. Yeah there’s not much in the way of particularly remarkable material, just some decent tracks dotted around their other stuff.

Boney, don't pass on the rest of their discog. OLTA is very good and I'm a s/t admirer and I consider it very underrated. The ratings don't do them justice.

Listen to "Specialist", it's one of their greatest songs but it was left off of TOTBL as a B-side.
Also, Song Seven is sort of a B-side off of Antics, but it's also among their best tracks. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5FixFGkSKA - this is the best version)

I’ll check those out, and ok it seems like Our Love To Admire has enough highlights that I may as well at least try it. Also the average for El Pintor here is surprisingly high compared to the reception I’ve seen elsewhere so I guess I’ll try that too. If I’m still wanting more I’ll try s/t and Marauder.

Marauder is their worst, and I believe a lot of people (me included) actually consider El Pintor to be their third best record after TOTBL and Antrics (it does fluctuate for me a lot, but it's a very good album nonetheless).
