I guess mods are featuring the best albums of the year. It's common at the end of the year when there's no new releases.

They have surely abandoned their sound on this release. The band has changed over the years. Even

albums like 2010's Diamond Eyes had more overall substance to it. This album is heralded as the best

album of 2012 and that moniker really soils the honor and respect that albums like White Pony

receive.



They're old middle aged men now, the music reflects it. They're at a happy place in life, it's just

sad that it means the music suffers from feeling that it once had. An overrated - dumbed down,

simplified version of a band that was once great.



Repetitive lyrics



Semi-decent guitar riffs and drums



Semi-decent bass



Repetitive vocal melodies and vocal styles



Little variation in forms of tempo and instrumentation

The band isn't interesting to me anymore. I've been listening to them since Around The Fur. To me, they're too condensed and mainstream sounding. That'd be all well and good if I felt the songwriting was up to par, but to me it misses the mark greatly.

they are going and I have been a fan since 1998. I always felt like each of their albums were unique

and beautiful in their own ways.

Adrenaline tops this album in terms of songwriting. Koi No Yokan is style over substance. Did I say

Not that much of a fan of adrenaline, although I'm not much of a fan of this album either. You'll like this if you're a huge deftones fan I guess though. It just seems a bit dry and unenthusiastic...

I wouldn't friggin bash this album so much if so many people weren't jizzing over it. It's really not that good (and not that bad, chill out)
