Definately the best Pink Floyd album.

Very nice review. I think though that some of the people who have posted comments are naive not noticing that most of this review's substance comes more from opinion. I don't think that there's really an overwhelming amount of facts either. Kind of disappointing that Syd Barrett is spelled Barret. That's okay though - most people make that mistake. Not really much background given about the songs or any mention of Roy Harper, the vocalist on "Have a Cigar".

Definetly a great album, right up there with Dark Side and The Wall. Welcom to the Machine has to be one of Floyd's most awesome songs ever written. Good review.

I really love parts I-V, Have A Cigar & Wish You Were Here. The other two songs are very good as well, but these three are outstanding.

Beautiful. That's all I have to say about this album. Absolutely beautiful. Undoubtedly deserves 5/5.

I still don't know whether I like this more than DSOTM, but this is easily more "beautiful". 'Shine on...' is simply a stroke of genius. If there's one song I wish I'd written, it'd be this one. 'Wish You Were Here' is also magic. 'Machine' and 'Cigar' are also great, but I find myself waiting for them to end so 'Wish...' can start. I really do like this album though. Sheer class.

Real neat, this is the only Pink Floyd album I can stand. But hey, SOYCD 1 & 2 are just too good to pass up

I really want to like this album, but I think it's just boring. "Welcome To The Machine" is my favorite track, and I this has to be my least favorite Floyd album.

Animals owns this by too much. SOYCD has way too much pointless instrumental noodlings

The 'pointless noodling' is what makes this better than all other Floyd albums. Especially Animals, as it's 3rd in line of the discography.

The Wall > WYWH > DSotM > Animals

That's how it breaks down for me.
