Hey Cyg, I'm not sure if I asked yet, but how come you dislike alternative rock so much? i don't believe anyone's asked me that but i'm glad you asked.
alt rock has been the predominant musical genre for almost all of my life. in the last two or so years, i've grown terribly sick of it. actually i've grown extremely lukewarm and wary to almost all forms of conventional rock music, especially modern bands. (00s-10s). i guess it all pretty much sounds the same to me these days, and even if it does, nothing seems impressive anymore.
i much rather fancy conventional pop music.
