Honestly, Spreading having grown on me over the years just makes me dislike this album more. Nothing good from the former transferred over to this album.

nice twister, I saw them play together on Slayer's farewell tour summer 2018 with Behemoth as the opener and it was fucking insane. Slayer stole the show for me, but man is it nice to see another defender of Anthrax around here haha my favorite of the big 4 and its always gotten me so much shit

for people say anthrax didn't deserves big four spot, just remember anthrax was one of the most unique and recognizable in term of original characteristic sounds just like megadeth, slayer, and metallica. Their influence later can be heard in crossover thrash band like suicidal tendencies,DRI, nuclear assault,SOD and municipal waste. it's something that bands like overkill, testament, exodus dont have, signature original sounds.

yeah agreed. also, anthrax was far more financially successful than overkill or exodus, had albums that charted way higher, even had two singles that broke the top 100. no other "i want that band in the big 4!" thrash band even came close to that. so they were also selected from a financial standpoint too

Suicidal Tendencies and DRI released music before this album came out and Anthrax bit off Trad Metal way more before this album.
Financial status is definitely the main reason why Anthrax were in the "Big 4". Though in all honesty that's pretty much what any big 4 really is, a big ol show of popular bands at the start of the scene.

This band blew my mind live. Definitely the best of the big 4 live from what I’ve seen. No way frank belladonna should be hitting those notes at 60 years old. Great stuff

re-listened to this today and nah it actually is sick. production is great, songs are killer, riffs are killer. joey's vocals aren't that good but otherwise their best album

Yeah, this one rules. Among and Persistence are pretty much toe-to-toe for my favorite Anthrax album
