"don't think there's a joining the club in a timely fashion requirement for jane doe because i heard it late in the discog and still thinks it's their classic"
Well I wish I was you in that regard. But I can tell you now, had I listened to it when it came out, or gotten into Converge closer to that time in their career, I most likely would have appreciated it more. I can appreciate it for what it is, but I'm gonna listen to this album 10 out of 10 times over Jane Doe.

Now that there's other stuff that sounds like it--including other Converge albums--it doesn't seem that special.
tbh i don't feel that anything else by converge sounds like jane doe; feels almost outnof place in their discog

V hostile, Titan.
The material on this record transitions live so well. Not that any record of theirs sounds poor live, there's just something about this collection of songs live.
|
| |
it's because the record is pretty much just straight vox/guitar/bass/drum instrumentation; very little effects to augment the band here

Hes got a point, this is really strong from a songwriting point of view but bare bones sound wise

Which I like, much like You Fail Me, the record pulls no punches, says what it needs to an then leaves. Wash an wear attitude.

You Fail Me is up there for sure. An absolute classic, that's the record I first show people when they're trying to get into Converge.

I bet we'll see one more LP from these guys before they call it quits.
