"make your music stand alone"

it actually does on this album, which is why i closed the review with the statement that i did.

and ya the "journal" that comes with the download also helps flesh out the concept. it's pretty rad.

What did you expect with their album name, band name, and album art being so atrocious

Oh I knew it was gonna be terrible. This band was terrible back in 2008.

why the hell would an independent band make a "feature length film"? i guess i admire the ambition of a project of that scale...but i have a hard time seeing the resultant film being anything less than lol

1. Josh Dies and to an extent the other guys are passionate about creating all kinds of media, dwi
2. The music totally stands alone anyway
3. Lil Wayne is as bad as everyone says

okay I'm not even done the first track and I'm already enjoying this more than anything I've heard from this band in years. We're off to a good start.

finished, definitely enjoyed it, not as good as No Sir but pretty darn close. loved I'm Afraid That I'm Me, Germ Cell Tumor and Escape from Planet Cancer. the last track seemed kind of unnecessary (if anything, it should have been merged with the second-last), but I'd say I'm looking at a high 3.5 or a low 4 here.

i apologize for doubting.

"the last track seemed kind of unnecessary (if anything, it should have been merged with the second-last)"

i thought the same thing at first, but with repeated listens it's made more sense. typically you wouldn't want to have album flow like that, but i'm sure a lot of thought was put into it, contingent upon the movie.

...in fact, i like the closing track more than the long one.

I don't think I will ever understand all of the Showbread hate? Is this because folks didn't like that they didn't make a second No Sir... Do people really hate Anorexia Nervosa that much, because that seems a little unnecessary. I'm also aware that people didn't like Who Can Know It? Because it was "boring" (slow.) I understand not liking the bands sound at times, but what have they done that is so awful that people need to make comments like "Shit band?" Has this website (or probably the internet as a whole) made our egos that big that we have to have our little opinon heard? Great album, excellent effort by a small band to do something out of the ordinary. Looking forward to the movie.

Also I really like Anorexia, Nervosa is my least favorite.
