I'm just saying you're not wrong and that I'd only really go further than that personally. Chuck's collaboration with Masvidal and Reinert around '90/'91 was basically the start of his fascination with a lot of prog/tech thrash he previously showed no interest in and the stuff he starts writing by 1993 is pretty indistinguishable from stuff like A Vision of Misery or No More Color.
